FUN RUN: FRIDAY, OCT. 6, 2023

The Fun Run is our largest fundraiser and only event where we asks students to actively seek donations from family, friends, and community members to support our school. It brings in close to 50% of the overall PTO budget which is used to enrich student experiences and education at BCE by supporting programs, events and services not covered by the school budget. The two-week program brings our entire school community together for fun, fitness, and fundraising. Plus, it teaches students about health and wellness, school spirit, and encourages teamwork. 

Our fundraising goal for this year is $50,000. 

HOW IT WORKS

All students, K - 5, earn money for our school by collecting flat donations for their participation in the Fun Run. On the Fun Run day, students in each grade will head outside during their specials time. They will get hyped up by a DJ playing music and then run (or walk) for 20-30 minutes on the tracks at the back of the school. After the run, students are treated to a special surprise activity. Parents, family, and friends are invited to watch the run and be part of the fun. 

GET INVOLVED!

• Find your child's 99Pledges donation page and pass it along to family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers - donations close on Oct. 8th! 
• Encourage your student to collect pledges either online through 99Pledges or using the paper pledge sheet sent home
• Get your student's fundraising started by making a pledge and make a difference!
• Check with your employer to see if they match employee donations 
• Students are encouraged to participate with individual prizing, classroom contests, weekend challenges, and grade level contests

The Fun Run is fully executed by the Bluff Creek PTO volunteers, which means the majority of the funds raised directly support the school and our students since we don't need to pay expenses to a third-party organizer. 

**Donations are tax deductible. Email bluffcreekpto@gmail.com to request a receipt of your cash or check donation. If donating online through 99Pledges, receipts are sent through that system.**
